Crow Chief

For many Crow warriors during the Plains wars, it was a small jump from stealing Sioux horses to scouting for the U.S. Army against them.

Two Leggings, like Curly and White-Man-Runs-Him, became a well-known scout for General Georg Armstrong Custer.

Born along the Bighorn River in Montana, Two Leggings was a member of the Crows' Uxarache clan.

His life story was told to William Wildschut, a Montana businessman, between 1919 and 1923.

Two Leggings died at home in Hardin, Montana.
